COWPARADE PERTH 2016
Commissioner: Perth Public Art Foundation for the City of Perth
Telethon Beneficiary/Permanent Home: Coming Soon
As an artist I am deeply interested in the way that animal archetypes are used to reflect the depth and diversity of cultural agency imposed by human beings. The red heifer is one such animal that symbolises the nexus of thousands of years of cultural development across more than half of the world’s population. If a cow was ever sacred it would probably be red.
