Biography

After many years of working in industry - publishing, designing fabric and teaching in international and local communities - I am returning to making, to art, in a much more personal manner. My major interest and skill sets lies in textiles though ceramics, drawing and sculpture are increasingly becoming part of my vocabulary - as they were many years ago. Adding to this mix is my interest in incorporating digital imagery and manipulation where needed.

Artist Statement

My artwork honours themes of family, history, women’s work, domesticity, home and the need to decorate. Of late I have been exploring Australian history, making note of historical quirks and points of interest then using these to develop works away from my norm. Known as a textile artist I also work ceramics, and a mix of media.
