Taiwan residency exchange::::new indigenous art awards::::Swarbrik award::::

  • Funded Taiwan Residency Exchange through the City of Perth: Call for Applications
    Lord Mayor Lisa Scaffidi says the exchange offered the opportunity for a West Australian artist to travel to Perth’s Sister City of Taipei in Taiwan for a three-month residency at the Taipei Artist Village.
    The successful artist will receive an allowance of $9,580 ($7,500 expenses and $2,080 materials), travel costs and a rent-free studio/apartment.
    The residency will be from February 18 to May 4, 2009.
    Applications close at 2pm on Wednesday, July 2, 2008.

  • New Indigenous Art Awards launched
    Australia’s richest indigenous contemporary art awards have been launched by Premier Alan Carpenter.
    The inaugural Western Australian Premier's Indigenous Art Awards, worth $1.1million over four years, recognised the significant contribution of indigenous artists to our community” the Premier said.

  • Swarbrik 2008 Excellence Award
    The Swarbrick project, coordinated by Artsource, has won the 2008 Excellence Award in the Public Art in Landscape Architecture section.
    While it was a team effort Artsource would like to congratulate Department of Environment and Conservation and the artists involved.
