Studios: Amherst Street, East Fremantle

The Amherst Street studio is located in an industrial area on the outskirts of Fremantle city. This 67sqm shed came to us through an interested real estate agent who had read about the need for studio space and offered us the studio for artists that work with industrial processes.

Current Amherst Street artists

Eligibility and selection criteria are as follows:

• Selection is based on artistic excellence and potential for development, based on support material presented
• We try and maintain an equity mix
• Applications are open to professional practicing visual artists who are WA residents
• Applicants must be members of artsource and membership must be maintained for the duration of studio tenancy
• Studios must be used for a minimum of 20 hours per week
• Studios are not available for full-time students, although studio based masters students are eligible
• Studios are not suitable for industrial or semi-industrial processes (eg. kilns, furnaces, welding)
