| Artsource manages
4 studio spaces in East Perth in partnership with Foundation
Housing. Foundation Housing provides means-tested accommodation
and tenants can stay indefinitely; the Haig Park development
includes 4 detached studio spaces specifically for artists.
The studio spaces are small in size (approx
12sq metres), secure, have some ventilation and a shared washout
facility. Studio rents range from $27 - $35 per week. The
studios are not suitable for industrial or semi-industrial
processes (eg: kilns, furnaces, welding).
The intention of this arrangement is that
artists can benefit from both residential accommodation and
a studio space.
To access the residential accommodation,
artists must meet the low income eligibility criteria through
Foundation Housing; and then meet the studio criteria through
artsource.
We encourage any artist members who believe
that they are eligible for rent assistance through Foundation
Housing and who are looking for a studio space, to register
their interest both with Foundation Housing and artsource.
