Currently Artsource manages the following studio complexes:
20 studios in Old Customs House, Fremantle
7 Studios in Blinco Street, Fremantle
4 studios in Haig Park, East Perth
4 studios in Settlers Cottage, Churchlands
6 studios in Railway Avenue, Kelmscott
Some studios are subsidised by the State Government; others are commercial leases. Most of the studios are between 18sqm - 42sqm and rents range from $25 - $58 per week; leases are for two to five years. The studios allow artists to work in close proximity to other artists allowing them to interact with other artists, or being able to close their door and shut out the rest of the world.

At least once each year the studios are open to the general public. There is a function/event associated with the open studios and this concept continues to develop and expand. The focus of the open studios is to provide an opportunity for the public to interact directly with artists and also to promote artsource services to art students, both at tertiary and secondary levels.

Artsource receives many calls from artists needing studio space. In 2006 we added the studios in Blinco Street, Settlers Cottage and Kelmscott. In addition, we commenced partnerships with a retirement village and a school, both of which made studio space available to artists in return for interaction with their residents and students. We continue to look for other suitable studio spaces around Perth and will advertise any opportunities that develop into studio vacancies.

Each year there are 3 or 4 studio vacancies at Old Customs House, Fremantle – turnover is from 1st May annually.
Vacancies are advertised in February each year in the West Australian, our regular e-zine and in the Studio Vacancies section
