Thank you to all the applicants who recently applied for the residency in Singapore. The artist for 2019 will be announced soon.


This four-week residency with Grey Projects offers the chance for one Western Australian artist to live and work in a supportive environment in the Tiong Bahru district, known for its design studios, independent bookstores, Streamline Moderne architecture and a thriving arts community.

 

Singapore at a Glance

  • Duration of residency: four weeks
  • Funding provided: A$5,880 (artist fee + travel, accomodation costs are additional and will be paid directly to the residency partner by Artsource)
  • Residency dates: 25 October to 22 November 2019

 

Eligibility + requirements

  • Applicants must be Australian citizens or have Australian permanent resident status.
  • Applicants must be Western Australian residents and have resided in Western Australia for at least 24 consecutive months prior to the application.
  • Applicants must be professional practising visual artists and recognised as such by their peers.
  • Students are ineligible to apply.
  • Late applications will not be accepted. Applications must be received by 5pm on the closing date (applications postmarked by this date are eligible).
  • The recipient of this residency will be a representative of the State of Western Australia.
