Ignite Initiative Closing Exhibition

Artsource Patrons, artists and guests joined Artsource in Brookfield Place for a catered evening to celebrate the success of the Ignite Initiative. Proudly sponsored by BHP Billiton, the Ignite Initiative 2014 boosted seven WA artists onto the next stages of their careers by providing opportunities for professional development, relationship-building, and mentorships. Patrons enjoyed an exhibition of the artists' freshest work, some of WA's finest wines, and an exclusive presentation by artist Stuart Elliott.

Autumn Viewing & Artist Talk

A private Autumn viewing of artworks featuring John Cullinane, Indra Geidans and Clare McFarlane at Turner Galleries. John Cullinane gave an artist talk about his new paintings that abound with classical themes and surreal motifs.

"An idea will come from any source such as something or someone seen; such as an event, a book, a discussion, politics, any media whatever. I like to be open at all times to capture the idea when it comes, many ideas escape, never to be found. This exhibition draws from a variety of ideas, where I look for a sense of the mysterious and the uncanny, relationships that are not what they seem, where there is always an unknown."

Fremantle & Midland Open Studios

Patrons and friends of Artsource were invited to take part in the annual private tour of our Fremantle & Midland studios; the creative base for over 40 interesting and inspiring Western Australian artists. Guests are welcomed into their studios like old friends, sharing the secrets to their artwork and practice.

We thank event sponsors Gage Roads Brewing Co. and Cullen Wines for their support
