We had such a great turnout of fellow Artsource members and supporters at our last sundowner that we decided we needed more get togethers!

Sundowners will alternate between north and south of the river this year. Put the following dates in your diary as a fantastic opportunity to meet and mingle with other artists, hear informative artist talks and expand your networks. Cash bar will be available and we'll put on some light refreshments. Spaces may be dependant on venue capacity, so please let us know if you can't make it after signing up so that the next person on the waiting list can attend.

Professional Development

We've upped the ante on our professional development offerings this year.

  • The 2018 Artsource Paper Mountain Industry Award winners will now be completing their three month studio residency with guidance from mentor, Leanne Bray, who will work with them throughout the year towards their group exhibition in December. We look forward to their artist talks and reflections during the show.
  • We are pleased to have received DLGSCI Commercial Development funding to work on an Art + Business development series to demystify artificial separations between commerce and art. In 2019, we look forward to promoting entrepreneurial thinking shaped by sustainable, ethical and social impact principals all in line with the NAVA Code of Practice of course (and its updates as they become available).
  • A mini-expo is on the cards for our next Industry event for fabricators and suppliers who work with artists to showcase their materials, processes, samples and precedent projects to the sector. Do you have 3D artworks and maquettes made with the help of a local business that we can show off at the expo? Or are you a local business who has a product or R+D of interest to visual artists? Expressions of interest can be made here >
  • Sign up to share an hour of your time per month with another Artsource artist during 2019. Whether you are an established artist or last year's graduate, your time is valuable and you will be matched with a fellow artist who will equally value the sharing and exchange of skills, advice and support. Choose to connect one-on-one, over the phone or email. Sign up here to register your interest >

Artist Talks

We are always wanting to hear from individual artists and groups who would like to speak about their work and area of interest. Tell us if you would like to speak about your arts practice, or hear about a topic or the work of a fellow artist. Expressions of interest can be made here >
