Biography

Grad. Dip. Art Education M.L.C.A.E. 1982. Practicing artist for over 20 years. Highly commended for Sculpture at the Wanneroo Art Awards 2012. Recipient of City of Perth Traveling Scholarship to Chengdu in China, 2012. Finalist in Black Swan Portrait Prize in 2014 and selected for the ‘Salon’ in 2016. Exhibited in Sculpture by the Sea, Cottesloe 2015, 2016 & 2017. Exhibiting in Sculpture by the Sea, Bondi, 2017. Represented in the painting collection at Tianfu Museum in Chengdu, China. Numerous private collections in Australia.

Artist Statement

Australian landscape and culture are recurring themes of my art practise. My recent scuptural work explores the cultural context of materials in relationship to our Australian history. Whereas my painting reflects an interest in the colour, form and pattern of the subjects.
