Darbyshire_body.jpgWhen you become an Artsource Patron -
or donate as an individual, foundation, or corporation - you are helping us to make
a real and lasting difference for artists and
the visual arts in Western Australia.

Not only do you help us provide vital professional services and opportunities
for artists, but you support us in promoting the excellence, diversity,
and outstanding value the visual arts bring to us all.

Although Artsource is proud to have our work part-funded and endorsed
by the State Government, via the Department for Culture and the Arts, this
represents only a small proportion of our income.  We rely on our Patrons
and donors to help us deliver so much more, and we simply couldn’t do
nearly as much without you. Here are just a few things you help facilitate.

Studios

Artists need space to develop ideas and create their work. Artsource finds studios for artists and makes them available at affordable rents well below commercial rates and, where possible, for up to five years.

Residencies

The Artsource residency program gives artists an invaluable opportunity to develop their practice outside their normal routines.  We host regional, national and international artists residencies at our studio apartment in Fremantle, and we support Western Australian artists in residence in Sydney and internationally.

Please note that Artsource is not currently facilitating residencies.

Regional and Indigenous Partnerships and Programs

Artsource is committed to supporting artists across Western Australia.  We provide the gateway for regional and indigenous artists to access opportunities and resources to help them build successful careers.

Information, Education, and Advice

Artists need regular and timely market information and access to opportunities as they arise. In addition to weekly emails on career opportunities, Artsource also supports artists’ professional development through talks, workshops and events.

Work Opportunities

Artsource facilitates paid employment opportunities for artists. We do this by providing key information to artists about sector-related employment, developed through our networks.
