Education as an agent of change

Artsource: The Artists's Agency of WA provides education services to artists and members, and the wider community.
Our philosophy is

• underpinned by a belief in empowering artists in their creative and innovative practices, by developing their skills in recognising opportunity and effectively implementing action.
• underlain by innovative teaching and learning research and experiential learning design. 

We see education as the vehicle for social change achieved through dialogue and the development of awareness to overcome difficult circumstances. We provide opportunities for critical discourse about social and political issues, reflection, and action oriented to changing conditions to improve artists’ present and future working lives.

We also provide a learner-centred approach to lifelong learning for visual artists, that develops both artistic practice and professional practice.
