their careers.

Our membership services provide visual artists with opportunities and practical support to help ensure a career in the visual arts is both rewarding and provides a sustainable income.

If you are actively involved in the visual arts as an artist, craft practitioner, student, arts officer, curator, or you are simply interested in WA’s thriving visual arts sector, Artsource has something for you.

Artsource

  • connects you to visual arts opportunities and networks
  • advises on artists’ issues and funding
  • presents a series of professional development opportunities
  • connects artists with clients
  • manages more than 80 private studio spaces across Perth
  • provides international and national residency opportunities
  • is an advocate for WA artists in local, national and international forums
  • keeps you up-to-date with relevant industry information

 

We offer three membership categories:

  • ACCESS: This entry-level membership provides essential services, including industry information, access to professional development programs and the opportunity to be part of Western Australia’s advocacy body for the visual arts. It is suitable for emerging artists, art workers, art students and artist collectives and groups.
  • PLUS: Receive all the benefits of ACCESS membership, plus income generating possibilities through Artsource’s Employment Agency. Suitable for individual professional visual artists.
  • MAX: The full package combining PLUS membership with comprehensive public liability insurance. Suitable for individual professional visual artists.

(Note that annual membership fees are tax deductible for practising professionals.)
 

Other ways to get involved

  • Artsource Associate: Suitable for individuals and organisations with a professional interest in the visual arts.  For example, architects, developers, curators, interior designers, consultants, galleries, arts organisations, local governments and schools.
  • Artsource Patrons and Young Patrons support our work with regular annual, or monthly, donations (tax deductible).  It's a great way for people with an enthusiasm for the arts to help support us, get involved and keep up-to-date with the visual arts.
