Artsource is pleased to announce our first Asian residency, in the heart of Singapore!

In conjunction with Grey Projects, this six-week residency offers the chance for one Western Australian artist to live and work in a supportive environment in the Tiong Bahru district, known for its design studios, independent bookstores, Streamline Moderne architecture and a thriving arts community.

Dan Gladden has been awarded the first Artsource Global City Residency in Asia and will spend six weeks at the artist-run Grey Projects, in the heart of Singapore's oldest housing estate, Tiong Bahru. Dan is hoping to use the opportunity to connect with underground queer artists to learn more about their connection to body and identity in a place where it is taboo to be open about self.
