Education as Advocacy

Our education program is a form of advocacy that  extends beyond professional development for artists.  Our program aims to

• extend to the community as audience development through active engagement in art inquiry or art appreciation  

• provide opportunity for children to experience arts through school holiday programs

• develop resources featuring West Australian artists for schools and provides teacher professional learning in the arts

• commission articles, publications, films and curated exhibitions on themes of national or cultural significance

• connect with tertiary institutions as partners to deliver online professional learning to regional and remote locations

• link final year arts graduates to the arts sector through work integrated learning placements and internships

Artsource also aims to develop leadership and advocacy within our membership so that artists are empowered to influence conditions that affect their working lives.
