Biography

With an extensive background in the events industry, Beam Hacker has created a diverse range of stage and venue installations. What started with a more low-fi, set design aesthetic evolved to embrace cutting-edge technologies and DIY lighting techniques including LED, fibre optics, EL wire, lasers, VR, and interactive sensors with a strong emphasis on creating immersive experiences. Fast forward to 2024 and Beam Hacker has led and collaborated on the design, build, and programming of numerous temporary and permanent Public Art and Event based light installations across Australia. His work has featured at high-profile events and locations such as Vivid Sydney, WA Museum, City of Perth, Perth Festival, Development WA, The Rechabite, Formula 1 Grand Prix, Pond, Red Bull, White Night Festival, Carriageworks Sydney, Freedom Time, and more.
