NAVA #fairpayforartistsArtsource + NAVA

Artsource works with the National Association for the Visual Arts (NAVA)  and supports its role in protecting and promoting the professional interests of the Australian visual arts.

#FairPayForArtists

NAVAs current campaign on behalf of artists, is Fair Pay for Artists. It is calling for the recognition of rights for artists and other arts professionals, in light of recent evidence of reduced opportunities due to the underfunding of arts institutions.

S2M: The economics of Australia’s small-to-medium visual arts sector

In February 2017 NAVA released an economic study of Small to Medium businesses.

Artsource contributed to the survey for this report and features as the service organisation case study page 80. The report reiterates the importance of the arts in local, state and national economies and the need to support an arts infrastructure to ensure that all Australians have opportunities to experience and participate in the arts.

#IStandWithTheArts

In 2016 NAVA and Artsource supported the National Day of Action on Friday 17 June to protest the federal government’s $300 million cut to the arts and cultural institutions.
