Weird Science | Signals Sound Lab | Artsource
Artsource is pleased to present ‘Weird Science’ hosted in the Signals Sound Laboratory.

This unique event is an opportunity to see and hear some of Perth’s favourite local musicians as they deliver bespoke sets that respond to the laboratory environment and incorporate the wide array of heritage sound and science equipment.

On Sat July 20th 2024 our special guest performers will be Felicity Groom, Malcolm Clark & David Lawrence. They will be joined by in-house lab technicians Gaƫtan Schurrer and Will Axten, with live audio visual projections by the talented Nathan Thompson.

The Signals Sound Laboratory is an important feature of the main Artsource building at Old Custom’s House, 8 Phillimore St Fremantle. Set in a large internal space, the Lab is an interactive audiovisual experience powered by a vast amount of interconnected music, sound, science and video technology.

Attendees to this event will be able to get ‘hands on’ with the equipment if you are inspired, by creating sounds and visuals at specially constructed workstations. Or you can simply relax, enjoy and take it all in.

Guests on the night may also be interested in a variety of ongoing opportunities to work creatively in the Lab, and are encouraged to contact Artsource or Signals Sound Lab for more info
