Biography

Multi award winning artist, Christopher McClelland has been working as a professional artist for over thirty years. He has exhibited widely within Australia, with solo exhibitions in Sydney, Melbourne and Perth. Christopher has also in exhibited in London, Paris and New York. His artworks are held in a variety of public, corporate and private collections both in Australia and overseas. He studied Art at the National Gallery Art School, Melbourne, the Victorian College of the Arts and Melbourne University. Currently based in Perth, he also teaches Art at Hale School.

Artist Statement

The latest works explore cultural identity, blending the whimsical with the atmospheric. The paintings are an eclectic mix of the past and present, the wide open spaces of Australia and the traditional images of French and Italian culture.
