This exhibition is taking place on Walyalup (Fremantle), on Whadjuk Noongar country. Artsource acknowledges the Traditional Owners of the country throughour Australia and recognises their contiuning connection to land, waters and community. We pay our respects to them and their cultures; and to elders past, present and emerging.
Coordinators Abby Gleadhill and Elizabeth Knuckey were invited to undertake their practicum placements at Artsource and begin a tradition of currency students organising a graduate exhibition for the most recently graduating cohort. Home/Body is a personal reflection of the lives and experiences of 2022 WA Fine Art graduates. This exhibition is an intimate depiction of the vulnerable aspects of young people's lives and with the culminationof femininity, carework, and the queer experience. These selected works are a call home for those craving a sense of belonging and comfort.
