Biography

Between 2012 - 2013, I studied at Curtin University, before being offered a position with Martumili, working in the remote indigenous community of Parrngurr, in the Pilbara. During this time I became aware how national identity is constructed and begun a critical consideration of our social relationship to the landscape. In 2014, I moved to Melbourne to study at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT) specalising in Sculpture and spacial practice. Then in 2015 I studied in Vancouver BC, at Kwantlen University, where I focused upon cultural appropriation, before returning the complete my Ba of Fine Art with distinction, at RMIT. I am currently completing a Masters of Art in Public space, at RMIT.

Artist Statement

Growing up between the Ocean and the Bush, nature has left an indelible mark upon my art practice with recurring themes of; Time, Energy and Geometry throughout my work. Curiosity has led me to sculpture, printmaking, painting and photography. In every work the process is integral, there always a dialogue between the materials, myself and the site.
