Biography

Carmen works from her small studio in her home in Margaret River. Early works were influenced when working in a boat charter business, the paintings were depicitons of wandering around wharves and shorelines. Currently Carmen is exploring influences from family photo albums.

Artist Statement

My recent works are exploring finding story and imagery from old family photo albums. I have been exploring the idea of arrival and departure. Drawn to remote and small-town locations, the initial inspiration was from a couple of old photographs.
