Biography

Kamila Waleszkiewicz is a Polish-Australian visual artist, author, and curator currently completing a Master of Fine Arts at Curtin University. She works across painting, printmaking, video, and installation, exploring themes of identity, memory, resilience, and the female experience. Kamila is the founder of the Art Conversations WA collective and the Call & Response “Conversations” project at Inglewood Arts Hub. Her exhibitions include “Nature of Being” (Ellis House) and “Feminine Fragility” (Moores Building Art Space, Fremantle). Before relocating to Australia, she authored and illustrated several children’s books published in Poland. Her multidisciplinary practice blends literary storytelling with visual expression, aiming to foster dialogue and amplify women’s voices through socially engaged art.

Artist Statement

My art explores memory, the female experience, the beauty of nature and emotional landscapes through printmaking, video, painting, and installation. I use layered materials and poetic symbolism to reflect on identity, vulnerability, and the quiet strength of lived experience.
