Artsource is pleased to welcome Paola Anselmi and Miik Green to the Artsource Board. They were elected by the membership for two year terms, with their appointment announced by Chair, Anthony Hasluck at the AGM on Wednesday 29 May.

Paola and Miik join Chair, Anthony Hasluck, Treasurer, Mal Di Guilio and fellow board members Corine Van Hall and Jánis Nedéla.

Paola is a Perth-based visual arts and public art curator and arts writer, who is currently contracted to the City of Perth as Arts and Cultural Development Coordinator. With over 25 years' experience in research and curatorial roles, Paola has developed a profound understanding of the needs of the arts and cultural industry, their communities and audiences they serve, and the economic realities they face.

Paola’s central objective as an Artsource Board member is to advocate for and promote the dissemination of contemporary art in all its facets. She has strived to understand the diverse platforms on which contemporary art practice can be presented and through this seek to initiate fresh ways of fostering strong and lasting directions through a holistic and ethical management of a flagship organisation.

Miik Green is a Western Australian artist and researcher, whose practice extends over 20 years. Miik draws inspiration from the microscopic aspects of nature, and is interested in cross-disciplinary initiatives that involve the fields of art, science, mathematics, chemistry and physics. His work is represented in major collections nationally and private collections overseas.

Miik hopes to contribute to the future direction and decision-making of Artsource through a more active role and is interested in seeing the visual arts in Western Australia develop, and to create better opportunities for artwork and artists in Perth. His experience in lecturing and current studies while maintaining a consistent arts practice will be a valuable addition to the Artsource board. Miik has been an Artsource Patron since 2013.

We would also like to say farewell and thank you to Penny Coss, Olga Cironis and David Doepel, who are leaving the Board.

Anthony Hasluck commented, "Penny, Olga and David have been exemplary members of the team and Artsource has benefitted a great deal from their expertise, insight and enthusiasm.

"On behalf of the Board, staff and all our members, I extend our sincere thanks to each of them for their dedication and valuable contribution to our work."
