Angela Davis

Biography

Angela Davis is a contemporary realist artist with almost 20 years experience in oil and pastel painting. She has a vibrant sense of colour and movement in her works of coastal and outback WA, rural NSW and snow scenes from near Cooma in the Snowy Mountains where she grew up on a sheep property, surrounded by an artistic family. in 1992 she moved to Perth and soon began classes at the Tresillian Arts Centre, Nedlands. She has been lucky enough to travel throughout Western Australia with her geologist husband, and enjoys painting the amazing colours of the vast areas of the Pilbara and Kimberely regions. Birds often feature in the artworks. Angela is also a textile artist and vertebrate palaeontologist.
