Stephanie De Biasi

Biography

Stephanie De Biasi is a multidisciplinary artist from Western Australia. In 2018 she graduated with a Bachelor of Contemporary Art at Edith Cowan University. Her practice reflexively considers the consumerist society and the structural determinants that concern humanity and the environment. De Biasi's working methodology explores aspects of the everyday through sculptural assemblages and still life. The employment of readymade objects acts as a common ground to connect with the audience and considers a more sustainable practice through the use of second-hand material. Her concept focuses on domestic commonalities and the impact of capitalism in our society. De Biasi is interested in interactions and behaviours between humans and objects to discover motives behind over-consumption.
