Taylor Denning

Biography

Taylor Denning is a multidisciplinary artist based in Perth, Western Australia. Denning graduated from Curtin University with First Class Honours, Bachelor of Fine Art, in 2016. Since then, she has been employed as a Visual Arts Technician at Wesley College and works from her studio at Artsource, Fremantle. Denning achieved First Prize in the City of South Perth's Emerging Artist Acquisitive Award in 2015. She has exhibited in a selection of group shows across Perth and Melbourne. In 2017, she exhibited her first solo show at The Hive Art Space in Subiaco, WA. Denning was the University Associate and Artist in Residence at Curtin University for Semester One, 2018. In January 2021, she is exhibiting her second solo show at The Farm Margaret River.

Artist Statement

Denning's art practice draws on personal experiences and exposes intimate details in the hope of connecting with a viewer. Working across a variety of mediums, Denning reflects on the intricate and complex nature of familial relationships.
