Biography
Andrew Grero is a West Australian painter and mural artist whose work can be described as colourful, bold and free. He draws creative inspiration from his varied interests including space, travel, the built environment, portraiture, basketball, native fauna and flora.
Born and raised in Perth to Sri Lankan parents, Andrew’s work has been influenced by Arthur Boyd, Jeremy Geddes, Eric Yahnker and Bob Dylan. He has been involved in community art from a young age, producing works for and in collaboration with communities and exhibited in Kununurra, Bristol (UK) and locally around his hometown of Bassendean.
In 2021 Andrew was diagnosed with Parkinson’s. Since his diagnosis, Andrew has continued to evolve his craft, expanding his practice through exploration of new concepts and approaches. His passion is to inspire others and reframe what it is to live and thrive with Parkinson's.
