Been wanting to get into synthesis but intimidated by all those knobs and wires? Come on down to Signals Sound Lab at Old Customs House in Fremantle where local synth artists Ozlem Kesik and Stewart Shepard will run through the basic ideas and components of synthesis. Presented in two workshops over the afternoon, the first going through some history and beginner concepts and the second building on those ideas. No experience necessary.
Priority to femme, non-binary folks. There will be an hour or so of free play at the end on the extensive synth collection at Signals Sound Lab. While we aim to have a place for everyone who wishes to attend places are limited, although we will be running more workshops in the future.
Please byo laptop and headphones, and install VCV rack beforehand if you are able.
