Dinner:
a culinary recreation of the utopia of the Rock Pool

18 February, 7pm
Old Customs House, Fremantle

Through the sound of water, you hear a bell ringing, it's time for Dinner.

Taken from hand-written recipes and notes found in the commune's library, artist Pascale Giorgi has pieced together a menu of dishes which seem to express the utopic vision and inspirations of the Rock Pool.

The menu:

  • futurist antipasto (peppers, artichoke, fennel sausage, breadstick, maxim)
  • spartan red broth (paprika fish stew)
  • tactical bread knives (sourdough baguettes)
  • enchanted broccoli forest with asapargus fortifications (baked rice with broccoli and asparagus)
  • crocodile pie (in pre-empting apocalyptic possibilities)
  • leek pie
  • crude salad
  • dessert

In a work of yummy research, we will dine together to the flicker of candlelight on long tables within the recreated commune.

The dinner includes plenty of wine (red and white) and ednless water, beer is available from the paid bar.

Tickets are $60 per person (all food and wine)

~~this dinner will contain meat, fish, dairy, gluten and other various allergens, please contact Pascale if you have any questions~~

This event is part of The Rock Pool exhibition, supported by Artsource.
